Position description: Georgetown-Scott County EMS is seeking a full-time paramedic for a 24/48 shift opening.

Position requirements: Applicant must successfully pass background check and pre-employment physical. Possess a Kentucky Paramedic License, KY driver’s license, high school diploma or GED equivalence, Healthcare CPR card, and ACLS. Must obtain the following certifications within one year of employment: EPC, PALS or PEPP; ITLS, PHTLS or TCCC; ASLS. National Registry Certification and AMLS is preferred. Candidate must complete ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 within 30 days of employment.

Operating out of 3 stations, GSCEMS staff 5 ALS ambulances 24/7/365 and responds to over 7,000 requests for service annually. Equipment includes Type I and Type III ambulances; Stryker power load and power pro stretchers, Stryker stair chairs, Lucas CPR devices, Panasonic Toughbook and ESO software.
